Denise Powers is undertaking the biggest endeavour of her career with the founding of Project Further and its first initiative – hiking the full length of the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail to raise $1 million to build the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre a new home.
Each year the costs of running the shelter grow with the cost of living. The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre relies on fundraising to cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual operating costs.
We have opened our current 24/7 Emergency Shelter’s doors to women and children who suffer from abuse on the 8 th of March 2003.
The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is a charitable organization that provides support to all victims of domestic violence via various services and programmes focusing on domestic and sexual abuse.
